Welcome to Amqui’s School Counseling Department

My name is Shannon Fry and I am the school counselor at Amqui Elementary. I have worked in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools since 1966. I began my career as a teacher. In 1992, I realized my goal of becoming a school counselor. I have worked at the high school, middle school and elementary levels and love them all.

Our school offers a comprehensive counseling program that supports the development and well-being of all students. My role is to help meet the academic, emotional and social needs of the students as part of the team of teachers, administrators, parents and the community. Students at Amqui have access to individual counseling, small group counseling and classroom instruction. I am also available to assist parents secure community resources.
